Best colour seats

Well, haven't fully decided on color for mine yet. To keep the original Arden Green or some dark version with metalflake. I really love the color of my Taurus which is "Chestnut" a dark brown with a touch of red. I can imagine the TC looking very good in that color

Just keep in mind that dark colours and especially black emphasise the imperfections of the preparation. A cheap respray in black will look horrible while you might get away with a decent look in white.

Mine has a bit of history. Originaly it was Arden green, has been painted brown sometime in the 70's and then later some kind of creamy white which is very close to Pendelican. After a small front end damage it was again resprayed in white. The problem is that the last resprays were horribly cheap, and the car has scars in the right side and stone chips everywhere else. So it needs attention.

I still have not decided what to do. I like the look of the car in white, and it will be cheaper to sort it out as is than going for a colour change. The only drawback is that the Austin is white too!

I agree that some darks colours compliment the P6 shape but only in the light conditions of the North. Under the Greek sun lighter colours not only look better but also keep the interior cool too! So probably it will stay white unless i will go for some red, either Brigade red or the darker Venetian red.

But first i have to sort out the brakes and suspension :(

Must say I'm intrigued by the thought of an eastern european aparatchik being Rovered to the Kremin!
I'll have to dig out the register again at some point and specifically look at this one. There was a whole batch of black P6's for eastern Europe. Where are they now??

:)

Sandalwood anyone?

Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!
Sorry about that. Just spent the weekend with a couple of mates, out in the car, visited a couple of car shows. We got to talking about my idea of changing the car from `baccy leaf to Black.....didn`t go down well. Both these guys are old mates, and I value their input also, both own other classics, an HB Viva and an early Beetle. They both reckon Black will be uncomfortably hot in summer for a start, the original suits the car, though it`s not the flashiest of colours it really stands out `apparently` :p and lastly, the old motor just wouldn`t have the same `image` as it has being `baccy leaf!! ??? Confused at present.

Is that your car SirD66? Very nice

Baccy Leaf can look good on a P6, but I feel it's one of those colours that looks OK when it's in tip top condition, but once it fades, and goes a little bit shabby, it looks horrible.
For me, classic car ownership is a very personal thing, and I certainly like mine to have a certain unique look to them. If you are planning on keeping the car for a long while Drew, I say go for it. The whole resale/ originality value doesn't matter so much. Besides, Baccy Leaf isn't that desireable is it?

Thanks Eric for the compliment. My late 66 2000sc is in Burnt Grey which is some lights can look very grey.. When I bought the car it looked like City Grey in the pics. In another light it can look brownish. It has classic aircraft style Irving seat belts. I intend to revive the leather and pvc with renovation kits to subteley restore the honey colour which can be seen in shaded areas. :)
