I just got an email request:
"I am currently researching the competition history of an AC Ace that was driven by a ‘Bill Shaw’, full name ‘William J. Shaw’ in the 1961 British Sports Car Championship. Firstly I am trying to understand if the ‘Bill Shaw’ driver of the Ace is the same person as ‘Bill Shaw Racing. Then I am trying to find some contact details for Bill or any surviving family members who may be able to assist me with the Ace racing history.
If Bill Shaw drove the Ace in 1961, which was made in Thames Ditton, and raced mostly at Southern UK locations, then it’s very possible that by 1970 Bill had progressed to preparing racing cars and was running his own racing business in the Thames area of South London. However I cannot find any direct history for Bill Shaw on the internet.
I would therefore be very interested if you can assist me with any further information you have about Bill Shaw Racing."
