bONNETS

hey yes i got a sd1 bonnet for sale i know that the s2 bonnet will fit the s1 so i would of thought so

Last time I tried,I couldnt get an SD1 bonnet to fit on my P6!! :wink:

Yep, S1 and S2 bonnets are interchangeable. Both suffer from getting wind under the ront edge. On the S1 this was countered to some extent first with a couple of small upstands on the shut panel above the headlamps and also by the alloy edge trim on the V8. I believe S2's don't have the upstands, but this doesn't stop the S2 bonnet being used on an S1 that does have them. If you are prepared to mod your car then a rubber roll along the shut panel to seal against the bonnet is a very good idea!

I was under the impression that S1 V8 bonnets can be used on S2 cars easily but S1 4Cyl bonnets require some modification due to changes in the location of the catch / slam panel.
 
all that i know is the s1 2000 bonnet wont fit straight on to the v8 cause of the main bars that run across the middle so that only reason i know i would of thought it will fit the s2 2000/2200 but not the v8 i did have a s1 2000 on my v8 but had to cut out the bars
 
The NADA bonnet is just a series 1 with three extra holes cut into it..

I've got the three bonnet scoops going spare if you want to try adding those to your existing bonnet?
