The P6ers from the Case is Altered 2012 outings are filling up fast. If you are not booked into any of our events and want to come along then contact me by e-mail or pm me on the forum which sends your message to my e-mail address. .
Booking has now closed for event 1, Drive it Day; events 2-4 at the Enfield Pageant; event 5 Luton, event 6 East Barnet, event 7, the Uxbridge Auto Show; and event 10, the outing to the ACE Cafe for the British Classic Car BMC 60th anniversary evening.
The new outing, event 6, to the wonderful East Barnet Community Festival and Classic Car Show, arranged for Sunday 8 July already had 11 attendees going but was cancelled at the last moment as the organisers of the Festival were concerned about the wet and slippery conditions in the park. The Uxbridge Autoshow, event 7, where we had arranged a full stand for 17 P6 cars was also cancelled because of atrocious ground conditions due to the recent adverse weather and the outing to Southend on Sunday 29 July was cancelled by the organisers after the council cancelled the use of Priory Park as the ground beneath the grass was to soft due to the earlier rain. Classics on the Green on 1 August is definitely on and the weather there looks good for a nice day in the countryside.
Booking has not yet opened for events 14 and 15 below.

Some of us meet at the Case is Altered and go together to the outings, some join us on route and some make their own way.
Tuesdays 10 January, 13 March, 8 May, 10 July, 11 September and 13 November 2012 - The bi-monthly get-togethers at the Case is Altered commencing at 8pm on the second Tuesday of every odd month.
On Sunday 22 April 2012 - Our 2012 outings commence in April with an all day outing on Drivers Day, Sunday 22 April 2012 at the Royal Airforce Museum near the M25 and M1 Junction 4. This is a major event similar to our outing to Brooklands on Drive it Day in April 2011. P6s and older Rovers welcome. The RRAF Museum have kindly arranged a special area for our cars.
On Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27 May 2012 - Outings to the 3 day Enfield Pageant of Motoring at Enfield Playing Fields, Enfield, North London with its rows and rows of autojumble and large numbers of classic cars. The P6ers from the Case is Altered have their own display stand with 10 cars on display on the Saturday and Sunday and up to 4 cars on display on the Friday as it is set-up day. On the Sunday we will have the Practical Classics P6 rally car as a guest car on our stand.
On Sunday 10 June 2012 - Outing to the all day Luton Festival of Transport at Stockwood Park, Luton, LU1 4LXS which is not far from Junction 10 of the M1. It is expected to have 3 adjacent areas (one for our P6s,one for SDIs, and one for older Rovers) amongst the many classic cars on display at the show. I have applied for 30 tickets. The other clubs have also applied for tickets and we hope to have 50 cars there.
On Sunday 8 July - 10.30am to 5pm - Outing to the East Barnet Community Festival. P6s and older rovers welcome. This wonderful festival and classic car show is held in Oak Hill Park, East Barnet over 3 days with the classic car show on the Sunday. We are going on the Sunday and will be parking next to some Bentley and Rolls Royce cars which are also going to the Festival. Come along and have a superb day at this excellent festival with its funfair and live bands. It should be a great day out! Oak Hill Park, East Barnet, London, EN4 8JS is not far from South Mimms, Junctions 23 and 24 of the M25 and Junction 1 of the A1(M). We have our own reserved display area. There is a charge of £5 per car payable on the day but entry to the festival is free.
On Sunday 15 July 2012 - Outing to the wonderful all day Uxbridge Auto Show just off Park Road, Uxbridge near where the A40 becomes the M40 with its large number of attendees, entertainment in the arena and splendid autojumble. As usual a reserved area will be available for P6s on a first apply basis. A payment of £5 towards charity will be required per car at time of booking as well as a stamped addressed envelope. This very popular event has limited places so if you want to book early to ensure a place let me know by e-mail/pm me as soon as possible and I will send you payment details etc bhy return of e-mail. I will hold your place on the list when I receive your e-mail as long as you let me have the £5 by the time detailed in my return e-mail.
On Wednesday 1 August 2012 - Outing to an optional lunch at the lovely Coach and Horses Inn on the Green at Croxley Green near Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire followed by Classics on the Green at Croxley Green at Croxley Green in the afternoon and / or evening. An area for P6s will be grabbed by those who lunch at the Coach and Horses and those who get to the Coach and Horses before we leave there for at 2.30pm for the 3 minute drive into the show area.
On Sunday 12 August 2012 - Outing to Classics on the Common at Ley Hill in Bucks from midday to 4pm. Ley Hill is a small village between Bovingdon and Chesham on the Herts Buks borders where we expect to be able to line up our P6s next to each other. This excellent little show has as many different classics as some of the much larger shows, just fewer of each marque. The location is superb and the barbeque and drinks very reasonable.
On Wednesday 22 August 2012 - Outing to the Ace Cafe, London, NW10 7UD for the British Classic Car BMC 60th anniversary Night. Starts 6pm and ends at 11pm. The Ace Cafe have kindly agreed to our 8 cars being parked in front of the cafe on the ramp/steps. They have advised that these 8 cars all arrive at the cafe before 5.45pm. Others who want to come along should arrive from 6.30pm and park outside or come on foot.
On Sunday 2 September 2012 - Outing to Petworth House in picturesque Petworth, West Sussex to go to the all day RP6C National Rally to be held in the Gardens of Petworth, House. It is a really beautiful location. It is important for the Rover P6 Club that we get a good turnout of our P6s at this one. Some of us will be travelling to Petworth in convoy from the Case is Altered in Pinner. On Sunday 16 September 2012 - All day outing to Classics on the Green and Carters Steam Fair at Croxley Green near Ricmansworth, Hertfordshire. A day out for the family. Young or old!
On Saturday 3 November 2012 - Why not leave your P6 at home and come to London's Regent Streeet to see the veteran cars assembled there before they are driven to Brighton on the following day. We meet Alec Wallis outside Hamleys Toy Shop in Regent Street at 11am. The event ends at 3pm. Come on foot. Nearest tube is Oxford Circus about 5 minutes walk from Hamleys which is on the left hand side of Regent Street going douth from Oxford Circus.
On Saturday 7 November 2012 - Come to the Classic Motor Show at the NEC, Birmingham. Cheap tickets available from the Club. Meet at the Club stand at midday.
On Tuesday 11 December 2012 - Christmas Dinner at the Case is Altered starting at 7.30pm. Partners, friends and husbands and wives welcome. P6s optional.
