We are going up to Bowes next Sunday, anyone travelling up want to meet en route. We are leaving from Manchester and at the moment can go via M6 or A1. Let us know if your interested

Just back from the Show.
Great display!
Couldn't convince my wife we should get one.
i'll have to keep trying.
I've just spent 2 1/2 years rebuilding a Ford GT40 replica, and I don't think she wants to go through that again!

Brilliant day, loads of seriously nice P6s. Makes me think I should look after mine better

No, that can wait 'til the winter :)

I'll upload some pics later.

What's happened to all the pics of these events on here, they seem to make it to facebook, but not to the forum :?

Richard

I only took one picture all day. Here it is on the M6 near Preston ....

Front carb kept flooding. Fixed once but happened again so called in the cavalry.

Shame looked like a good show.

that's two of you fell foul of the M6 then (RedRover had issues too...)

always sad to see a p6 on a tow truck.

I did :( Although I stayed clear of the tow truck. Nursed it home at 30 mph and everything was fine. It made a terrific noise above 2000 rpm, but sounded and felt no different below that. Nursed it home and everything should fine. In Glasgow for a few days at the mo, then London, then Liverpool, then London, then Liverpool, then London - and all before next Wednesday, so no idea when I'll get to look at it!!

Maybe you should revise your signature then Michael

Sorry to hear you're having problems with redrover though. Always a horrible feeling when you can't investigate a problem.

Nearly three, I saw Matthew's behind a recovery truck en route, but thankfully he made it ok.

Well done :) hope you got home ok

Richard

Yes, mine also started acting up again on the way home. Decided it was safer to use the recovery truck rather than risk breaking down on the A1. Think there is something wrong with the carbs, hopefully not too big a fix and a progress report shall follow soon.

Other than that it was a really good day out, and we had gorgeous weather for the meeting. :)

I was sorry to miss this event, it sounded great. Unfortunately just too much for me in one weekend, I only got home from another event in the early hours of the morning. I did get to drive a wonderful SD1 3500 at that other event though!
