I have decided to finally fit the UK spec dipstick tube to my NADA gearbox as the current breather is leaking and it is a pain getting under the car whenever I need to check or top up the fluid! I have the adaptor to screw into the gearbox and the later dipstick and tube with the flexible section.
The tube attaches to the adaptor with a compression type fit to seal from leaks but the adaptor seems to just screw into the gearbox housing. The manual doesn't make it clear whether there should be a sealing washer there or whether some sealant needs to be used. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
