Camshaft rear cover gasket

Dear Forum,

Please, is there anything special about the Camshaft rear cover gasket? Can I cut myself a new one from thick gasket paper? If so, does it have a hole cut in its centre where the camshaft sits against it (what's left of the old one has created a camshaft-sized circular ridge around its centre)?

Thank you

No, nothing special about it, and you can make your own. It should have no hole in it other than, of course, for the bolts to go through

Thanks Christopher - Good news :!:

I made one and only had the bolt holes. If you feel like having the large hole, just for the benefit of authenticity you can make it a socket the same size, and a hammer, on a hard surface. No one will ever know under the plate, and the camshaft cover. Just use good quality gasket paper and you will have no problems.
