Carb AUD codes

Morning all!

Got a question about carbs (HS6)
The ones on my 3.5 are AUD 9, although the lettering and style seem to "look" different), but:

The code on the dashpot black screwtop is AUD 8103
The code on the float chambers screw tag is AUD 467L and 467R
I've noticed that one of the needle feels a bit flat on the surface as though its rubbing.

On the dashpot housing there is a little sort of truss below the dashpot oil black screwtop. Are these "trusses" supposed to be symetrical on both carbs? The right one faces to the right (looking from the front of the car), but the left one faces backward, into the car.

My carbs aren't right, not sure why. Given them a clean but I have to screw out the mixture screw a LOT more than the other.
Thinking of a service kit, replacing needles too.
Suggestions?

Don't worry too much about the codes. They are there mainly to identify the needle (and left and right!). But a flat on the needle of an HS6 is seriously awry. It implies that the jet is knackered too. That'll be why the settings are so different. There may also be something else wrong as the carbs are intended to centre the needle perfectly in the jet. A service kit is definitely a good idea.
