I've come into a set of HIF6 carbs off a '72 3500, and was planning on fitting them to my '70 3500s (previously had HS6's, auto choke w/AED). It doesn't look like the throttle linkage fits - the lower balljoint fouls on the manifold (not the rod between the carbs - the other one). My HIF6's came with a big pile of linkage.. but no manifold.
Is the inlet manifold actually different for the later 3500's.. or am I going to need to shorten that link rod.. a lot?
