Changing steeds

As we like to tow the caravan in the summer I've been actively thinking about getting myself a V8 again for a long while. The last one I owned myself was NXC, a 1973 export car, which I had for awhile in 2004-2005. She was a great long distance runner and a lovely car.

Well the long-term owner rang me a few weeks ago to tell me he was thinking about selling her and would I like first refusal. I went to see her with open mind, but yes, NXC is coming home shortly. She's actually in better shape that when I last saw her, having had some paint, and it was just like getting into an old pair of shoes.

This means we can do events such as the Enfield Pageant and the South East Rover Rally and camp on-site or nearby, which will be great.

This does take my personal P6 count up to three again though. I'm not desperate to sell, but if there is someone out there interested in HUC, my 1974 2200 auto, still with 29k on the clock, one previous owner to me, full history, fully serviced, 10 months MOT and taxed until June, and reliability personified, please let me know.

Take NPE, and Chatterbox, I'll throw in some money - don't know how much, for HUC. What does Rhys think about you offering HUC for sale? Otherwise please don't sell her - I love that car!... :)

Rhys is OK about it, as we do want/need a V8 for our extensive social whirl. I'm not going eBay the car or similar though. Any prospective new owner will be vetted thoroughly.

After what the vet did to my dog, if that's a condition of sale I don't fancy buying a car off you... :D

Come to think of it he did about the same to my cat John!

:D
John's a funny name for a cat...

I'll fetch me coat...

Ok, I don't want to go to the vets. :D

Why is it that people (or at least us two) have started selling their 22's for 35's? I think it's a bit coincidental...

Cheers, Adam.
