choke warning

I have just noticed that the ribbon speedo on my S1 V8 doesn't have the choke warning on the top left.

All the other early cars that I have looked at have one.

Did some cars not ?

If the car was originally fitted with an AED then I don't think it would have had one.

I was just curious as to why it wasn't there
