Classic designs you'd like to see revived?

Friend of mine, after pretty much vowing to never buy a Rover, went and bought a 75 estate, he'd spent quite a while looking at loads of different cars and finally bought the 75 because "it was the only thing that looked special, and felt special inside", he said all the other stuff was just bland.

Mind you, he does like the late Ford Scorpio !

I've got a diesel conny estate, very pleasant light interior unlike most of the other modern cars (ocean of black plastic), and a well proportioned exterior, which a lot of modern cars seem to be unable to achieve with current safety regulations etc.

A - what does conny mean?

B - as for the thing's proportions, I always thought the estate's rear end looked clumsy and enormous in a way that Audi and BMW estates never have (partly, I think, because, although the tailgate slopes, it's a single continuous curve from hinge to shutface), plus it's pretty obviously front-wheel-drive (IE big front overhang, front wheels very close to bulkhead).

Conny is Connoisseur i think (mine was a connoisseur SE) - means more leather more wood! 'Contemporary' was one i think too...

Yep, mines the connoisseur, unfortunately not the se, though it isn't hard to upgrade them.

For me, wood + leather = luxury

Just what I want when I spend at least two hours every day driving it

I think that looked OK as an estate , not a beauty but OK . People normally buy estates as a car to do a job, rather than as a thing of beauty
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder , as they say. No doubt someone on here will think Jordan is more attractive than Kelly Brook

Come on, both said girls are pretty unattractive (says this 19-year-old male), thanks to their lack of brains... airheads the pair of 'em. Plus Jordan is totally fake, shallow, and common as muck. Mind you, at least she's into horses, and if you can get on with horses, you ought to be able to cope pretty well with people (though somehow Jordan doesn't seem able to). Nah... gimme Florence Welch with little/no makeup (she sometimes overdoes it) any day. Gorgeous red hair, great body and brains to boot. Mind you, to (mis)quote Liam Gallagher, "her music's sh!te, it keeps me up all night, up all night...".
