Converted to unleaded

I've been looking on eBay for a set of heads that are ready to use for unleaded but a little unsure what I'm looking for. I've found a set apparently of a sd1 but without injector holes but been told they don't need converting cause they are a ally head with steel inserts. Is this right?
Cheers all
Richard

all v8 heads should be... landrover certify it for the landies with the v8. rover never did but they're identical.

and v8 heads can be had for 50 quid a pair so easy to replace if you do (however improbably) get issues.

Does that mean I don't have to keep putting in my additive that I've been messing about with even with the heads she has fitted?

All but the very earliest V8's can be run without any lead replacement additive. I wouldn't waste the money. In the unlikely event you have problems then use that as an opportunity to upgrade to the better, SD1 onwards, heads

just use super unleaded - preferably tesco momentum or shell optimax/vpower or whatever they call it today.
