Correct Coil for 3500S Chassis suffix A

From the wiring diagram for 3500S Chassis suffix A, it doesn't show a ballast resistor going to the coil. There is a ballast resistor (31) going to the taco. Dose this indicated that the correct coil should be an un-ballasted 12v one ?. At the moment I have a ballasted coil which has been there for about 2 years without any obvious problems.

You have the right coil. 1.5ohm (ish).
