Correct Tyre Size??

I have a 1965 Series 1 2000 SC which is fitted with a set of completly knackered 165 X 14 tyres, are these the correct size for the car as everyone on here seeems to mention 185 X 14?? Or are the bigger size just for the V8's and are the ones i have correct?? Got to wait till new year for the Minilites (boo hoo). Cheers Joe

If you are still in need of tyres for your 2000,i can reconmend Dunlop for your car.I work for ATS and if menory serves me right they are the only leading brand still making that size.
 
Cheers, P6mad.....how much each? My mate has an account at Stapletons and they only do Jupiters at £15+vat each to us?? Zeberdee37, yes i saw them but have decided that when the funds allow then 15's with 195/65X15 tyres. I did have matey on here trying to get me to put 16" Cherokee rims on it,which i do admit look fab on his but i think a series 1 deserves something period even if they are the wrong size slighty!! Thanks everyone :)
