Hi John you'll probably find it's not just beginning to rust but when you remove the sill it will be a bit more advanced :roll: the lower D-post repair panel from Wadhams replaces everything under the sill but not very much above it, I bought a pair & found that they are cut at an angle getting smaller towards the bit that you need to be bigger :roll: I sent them back & swapped them for full outer D-posts, at £65.00 they sound expensive but when you see the quality of steel & how well they fit then you realise that it's not so dear after all. I have changed the full post but you could cut the new ones down to repair your old ones if you find it any easier.
If you put a photo of your D-post on I would be able to tell you which panel to go for
