Dash Vents

Hi folks,

I've had a hunt around but can't locate any information here; would someone be able to describe, or point me to a thread that describes, how to remove the plastic face vents from the dash?

As far as I am aware, the vents are an integral part of the dash, not separate items.

Perhaps I wasn't being clear.

I meant these things

How does one remove them without breaking them?

The parcel shelf has to come out to get at them. If you look here it will give you an idea how it all fits together.

The two screws are usually covered by the black mastic. Chisel/pry/scrape it all away carefully, remove screws and you can wiggle them out without damage to base unit or part

Make sure you put the 'Dum-dum' (mastic) back. It is used to seal gaps & stop vibration & it never dries out - well, not in 50 years anyway!
