DE-DION TUBE - Graunching noise when laden

Ive recently swapped my series 1 v8 for a series 2 v8.Ive changed the standard wheels/tyres for the minilites and low profiles i had on my s1.Ever since this there has been a graunching noise coming from the o/s/r of the car.Ive changed the rear shox and springs and put all new bushes in the rear,but this noise hasn't gone.It only happens when 2 people are sat in the back or i go down a road that is very bumpy.It doesn't make a noise when cornering hard so i was wondering if the de-dion was at fault in someway?

The upper links (from the de dion to the back of the car) are supposed to be bent on the v8s to clear the tyres. on the lesser models they are straighter. perhaps you have the wrong type or one has been damaged (straightened) if the elbow has collapsed or a prang.? swap the upper links from your other car and see!
