My bad, I live to shop another day... I'll do some measuring once that lots delivered and see what can be done

Those are the later versions of what I've used, but I don't think there's anything wrong with the main business part, except the 3 bolt input flange, but a custom propshaft would be required anyway. The output hub assemblies look to have a similar bolt layout to the earlier type with inboard brakes, and there looks to be enough space to fit the adapters to mount the brakes inboard, and the two big pins on the top could be ideal to mount the unit onto the underside of the car. I am actually intrigued by the four bolt holes behind the input flange and what their purpose is? Maybe the possibility of a torque tube to pick up on the original diff nose mount if you have access to suitable facilities to fabricate something.

You'll also find just how heavy it is :( , but sometimes heavy = strong :D

Any chance of some pictures of the intended victim

Simon; many thanks for your advice! Unfortunately I'm not in the same country as my car right now, but I've asked a friend to drop into the workshop + take some pictures when he's next in town; so I'll post those up once he's sent them

If I may, I'll post some measurements of the X300 diffhead once that's landed on my doorstep, and see how close this measures to what you have there. Ratio is 3.58:1, which is fine, but not LSD + appears no aftermarket or option LSD for this model was made, but maybe an earlier one will fit inside the casing ( more research  )

best!
