When grubbing around under the car fitting my new rear brake pads I noticed a line of oil on the trans tunnel, yup coming from the diff nose, so ordered a seal.
Undid the prop and got a gusher of oil from inside the ends of the two flanges. went to undo the pinion flange bolt and is was loose !
Put in the new seal and put sealer on the washer and torqued up, fitted prop, checked oil level in diff and went for a spin.
Ever since I have had the car under hard acceleration there has been a coarseness coming from the rear, despite checking all the U/J's and re bushing most of the rear it persisted, well - woo hoo !!! it has now gone, a good day indeed
