Different ride height right and left side

Hi,

I am Peter, living in Holland and I own a RHD 1973 P6 3500 for almost 20 years now. Until recently I did not use the car much and it was sitting in my garage. A few months ago I thought it was time to prepare the car for the summer season. So we renewed the brakes, rebuild the carbs and gave it a major service so it runs now pretty well. There is one thing that struck me when I look at the car from the front or rear that it looks that the RH side is a bit lower than on the left. I measured both sides and there is 2 cm difference both back and front. I inspected the springs but they seem intact.
Could it be that due to age the springs get a bit tired or that the shock absorbers gut stuck. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Peter

If the shock absorbers were stuck you wouldn't be able to bounce the car, it would be solid. So if the car does bounce, then it will be the springs. They can be shimmed to alter the ride height but I doubt you'd be able to raise it by 2 cm just by doing that.
The details are in the WM on the setting and checking procedure.

I'm not sure if your definition of "RH side", but in a lot of cases the driver's side tends to be lower because of the majority of the time being driven just occupied by the driver.
