Dodgy brake light?

Hallo,
Anyone had a similar problem to this: The brake light on my 2000TC flickers on and off most of the time whilst driving or stationary. At times it is fully lit for a while. I have checked the fluid and it is not low. Wiggling the handbrake did have some effect-I think!-but doesn`t anymore?!?

Cheers, Drew ???

Could be:
1. The cork float in the top of the reservoir is oversaturated and the contacts are too close so that vehicle movement causes intermittant contact. Find a wine drinker and use his cork from a freshly opened bottle. Due to the contruction of the clip that holds the cork onto the rod, I found it easier to slit the old cork with a razor, remove it, slit the new cork, install it, and glue the cut edges.

2. Faulty hydraulic brake light switch. (Check everything else before you decide on this).

3. Handbrake switch needs to be reset and the switch moved slightly away from the parking brake handle contact.

have a look on past topics there has been plenty of discussion on this.i for one have this problem narrowed the search down to the switch on handbrake but havent got round to sorting it yet although it does,nt really bother me now i,ve got used to it.
