Door seals

Anyone know where the best quality replacement door seal can be purchased? These are the seals that fit in the door opening.

Want to try and cut out some of the wind noise.

Have you tried Pierre at RPS? I bought two from him. They were your passenger side and my driver's side :)

You can modify a diifferent side door rubber by cutting, gluing, and fettling. The OEM type have the cast right-angled corner which you don't get from an extrusion. I have used extrusion, cut off the corner piece from a scrap door rubber, and glued a joining piece for the cut ends.

RPS? I've not heard of that company, which country are they in?. I take it the ones that you purchased were OEM type.

Thanks

The door aperture rubber seals in my car were rather useless, so i had to replace them all. I did it today, and the seals were provided by Scott's Old Auto Rubber in Australia. They do look to be of good quality, but after fitting, with the catchers adjusted in the most outward position, they need an awful big slam to close. I know that they should settle with time, but... do you think that this is normal?

Anyone else fitted new door seals recently?

Normal for this material- the new rubber is stiff and needs time to bed in. The OEM stuff seems slighly softer

With time and the pressure of closed doors the seals will compress slightly and you shoudl be able to shut the doors with the proper clunk rather than a slam
