Drive it to work week

Just read an article in CCW encouraging all classic owners to drive their cars on their daily commute 8-16 September. Think they did this last year? Anyway, was thinking I might do my bit and at drive at least a few days. Can't say I remember seeing any classics during rush hours last time?

As ive been driving the P6V8 to work most days for the last decade,I had thought of giving it the week off for a rest considering the sterling effort it put in over the last 2 weekends hauling the Rover P6 Club trailer!
So weather permitting I will use the TR6 next week for work and all other normal daily duties.

Hi Pilkie , it looked like it was telling you it needed a rest at the gates of Petworth last Sunday
I'll get me coat

Come the revolution (when I am president :)) I propose that all classic drivers get issued with free petrol on drive it week :).

pilkie did a sterling job pulling the trailer . That's all i'll say . Other than the mighty V8 needed a rest at the gate :D :D

He got a bit warm and got a slight carbie flood while waiting in the Q at the gate!
Not even the leccy fuel pump that I flick on incase of vapourisation would sort that!
It was interesting letting it all roll backwards with no pas to a safe place, one wrong turn of the wheel and it would of blocked the entrance!
Nothing that a 20min break didnt cure as I watched all the others go in!
Once free of the trailer and let loose we did the 130m trip home in just under 2hrs! SSHH!!!
