Driverside cover sill wanted

Hi,

We're giving our Histroic Road Rally car a bit of a much needed makeover and could do with a better driverside cover sill, the one on the car has took a knock a few years back and although solid enought it's not terribly straight. The rest of the car is coming together nicely so we'd like to sort this before going to paint etc....

Not looking anything perfect, this isn't a show car, something straight not terribly rusty would be great. Strangely in my stock of panels I have a new non-genuine passenger side cover sill but as luck would have it we need the drivers one

Due to our location we'll need it posted to us.

Anybody got anything suitable?

Thanks, Tim

Just wanted to confirm you are after the long thin piece that sits under the doors, not the stainless steell foot plates in the door openings?
I can do the latter and possibly the former but postage might be a killer for the long one.

Hi,

Not the stainless steel tread cover the screw on cover sill below the doors. Doesn't need to be "as new" or anything just straight would be nice, if there is some rot I can soon cut that out :D

Living where we do I'm well used to paying for postage, Royal mail is good if the item meets thier length/width limits, posting other ways can get pricy. If the cover you have isn't like the last perfect one in the world I'd consider asking you to cut it neatly in 2 to aid packing/postage, a few mins would weld it back together again this side, plenty of other welds all over the car!!!!

Thanks, Tim

I've got one that fits the bill. Straight but had been bodged onto the car - a plate welded across the join at one end. Rusted along this weld but the rest is pretty sound.
You're welcome to it for the cost of postage except that all the options I've looked at say it's too long (approx 175cm).
I'll cut it in half if you're serious about that. Or perhaps you know someone making the crossing via Holyhead who could pick it up?

Hi,

Completely serious about cutting it in 2, welding it back together this side will be straight forward, wish the rest of the "rebuild" was as easy

I'll fire you a pm :D

Thanks, Tim
