We're having a bit of a car shuffle at the moment which means that Duncan Gill's 1973 originally Denovo'd 3500 is up for grabs. She's an early 1974 model year car with BW65, PAS, lower compression engine and tints. Boxpleat ebony leather seats in excellent order. She has a mere 38k from new, although at some point someone took her to pieces in an apparent attempt at a concours winner and then apparently gave up - Duncan put her together from the constituent parts. She's not a minter but a very very nice car all the same. One year's MOT. Ring me on 07748 983948 for more info. I will be getting some decent photos done early next week.

Another car with a nickname - this one's Nellie, after a variation on the song 'Nellie The Elephant':

'Nellie the yellow one arrived one day on the back of the lorry in boxes'.

:D

I've had a ride in the car, and it is absolutely superb. If had the money, space, time, and a driving license, I'd add this car to my little collection. But seeing as I have none of these things, for me it's a no. Anyway I have 2 projects on the go already - that's what my time, money, and space is currently being spent on - and I have no plans on getting rid of them.

There's no denying that this car is an absolute beauty, the colour just goes.

I've been driving Nellie around most of the week and the car is a lovely drive - quietest V8 I've ever been in. Decent fuel economy too. If I hadn't got a Series 1 V8 shaped new toy on the way (and I'm not going to put photos up of that one until she arrives, I still think I'm dreaming...) I'd keep her myself.

If anyone on the list is considering coming and having a look please bear in mind she's not a minter - the respray by persons unknown is OK, but not that fantastic. Hence the price.

Cheers
Nick
