Hi, I bought a multimeter as recommended by Practical Classics, and I'd like to set the points with it, but I have no info about dwell angle can anyone help?
thanks,Wakey
Dwell angle is normally set at around 60 degrees on a 4cyl engine. (the reason why single point distributors in a v8 can struggle with a dwell angle of only 30 degrees). Best bet would be to set the gap with the feeler guage and then check with meter. Open up to decrease the dwell and close to increase as i'm sure you know anyway.
