I've realised that in order to get my P6 roadworthy I'm going to have to sell parts off the car I can do without to buy the parts I desperately need. So, since I don't mind which 80's alien my headrests resemble I'm offering these up for sale to afford my new tyres/brake components:

- E.T front headrests in black. No damage, no rips, fading or anything else. Mint condition. £60.00 + £10 postage.

- Rover v8 standard mechanical fuel pump. Good working order. £20 + £4.00 postage.

- V8 front panel. No rot but could use a respray. £10

- Complete spare wheel boot mount (continental kit). Knackered badge hence. £30

Collect anything from Leicester LE2 or will gladly post. Cash on collection, personal cheque, Paypal gift, Postal Order all accepted as payment.
Thanks! :)

Not seen headrests like those before ?
What P6's have you been looking at then Dave? "See my cars pic!"
ET's are the ones most want to get! These are the std vinyl ones, the ones with a double seam on the head section are the older leather ones.

Indeed you must have lead a very sheltered life Dave.
The P5's use them too, though proper P5 one's have reading light's attached.

The reading lights were also an option on the P6.

Chris

They were. I have a pair with them on.. and one that was fitted as an original to my car.

I see now - I was looking at them from the wrong angle
I was wondering where the metal support arm was............

Sorry Twinplenum3500s I didn't get to take a picture of the front panel yet, I will do it without fail tomorrow!

Headrests now on Ebay guys. Am I way off with the price or is that about the going rate? I only based the price on what I'd seen others make on Ebay so don't mind being told otherwise :)

thanks!

No, it's not too unreasonable though I've noticed black does seem to sell for less than other colours. I prefer to wait for the bargains when they come along. ;)

Bet you're glad no-one took you up on your offer

Yes Ebay's a funny old game isn't it!
International postage is the key here I think. This set is going off to Australia and I imagine it's hard to find a set out there and even harder to get anyone to post them from the UK! I don't see what the fuss with international postage on Ebay is about really, it's expensive but it's not you that's forking out for it, plus it's really no hardship to arrange the courier so I always offer international postage these days :)

Okay, pump is sold as are the headrests obviously.
Twinplenum3500 I never got you that picture of the front panel did I, I'm so sorry about that! Had a ectic few weeks. I'll post a pic up pronto anyway and if you still need one you can see if it's the one for you :)

P.s Admin- Thanks for the advert!

I reckon you're right about the postage. I recently sold a set of small Minilites off a scrap Mini, they went to Italy (obviously a bank job) and after that I had a complaint selling a bonnet mascot that I'd blocked bidders overseas  wasn't on purpose.
Glad you got good money

Hi - only just found the forum and registered!!
I used to have a 1970 Rover 2000SC, upgraded to a 3500 V8 (not S) until eventually couldn't afford to fuel it anymore and had to let her go - about 25 years ago!!

Anyway - tomorrow I am going to collect a 1970 2000TC!! Yes, got one again after all these years - my P6 has always been the car I regretted selling.

I looked for one with a spare mount on the boot but eventually decided on this one which hasn't - so if you still have the mounting assembly please can I buy it. I converted my V8 years ago and think they look outstanding.

Is it complete with the strengthening web which rivets inside the boot lid?

I will (hopefully) be using the 2000TC quite a bit when I get her, so a trip down to collect sounds like a very good idea sometime soon!! ( I am in Scarborough)

You can get hold of me on robin.haslam555@virgin.net - I hope its still available and look forward to hearing from you re details and price etc.

Many thanks,

Robin

Hi Robin, welcome to the forum!
Yes I still have the boot mount and it is complete with the strengthening web, I'm glad you can make use of it. I've yet to remove it but I can supply some pictures as it is now if you like.

All the best, Steve
