Electric Fuel Pump, fitting questions?

Got all set to remove the old manky electric fuel pump, which is fitted in the engine bay, with a brand new Facet pump, but came unstuck almost straight away.

Could someone explain, with pictures, what the recommended way of dealing with the reserve fuel line and also the return from the carbs? I want to fit the new pump under the back near the tank.

The car is a 3500,

many thanks

Thanks for fishing out the link to my how to post Dave.

As to why you couldn't find it in the search Redhouse, I don't know, but if you put too many search words in and one character doesn't match exactly then it could miss it perhaps? If you need any more help, just give me a shout.

One day when I've got round to making a new reserve cable, I'll update the thread.

It's been really helpful, thanks, I'm midway through fitting it, but I've chosen to put the pump and tap in the d/side cprner of the boot. This means the tap will be accessible should I need it.

Good idea. Didn't I look an eejit the other day laying on the floor outside the petrol station with my arm up the wheel arch feeling for the reserve tap! I will get round to extending the cable from the dash one day.
