Hi guys and gals,
About 6 months ago I replaced my mechanical fuel pump with an electric one. Yesterday it failed.
I ordered a new one yesterday and it arrived today. After fitting it the car ran perfectly, with one slight problem. Fuel is now p*ssing from the float chambers.
All I can think of is that the pressure is too high. ( The instructions do not stipulate where the pump should be fitted).
At present, the pump is fitted under the bonnet. Would it make a difference if I fitted it nearer the fuel tank?
Thanks for any advice.
