Hi all,
Just joined the site as I'm after a P6 - preferably a 3500. Just sold my 2.3 Viva HB which I had for best part of 8 years. This replaced a 2.2TC (GUR650L) I wrote off! Always hankered after a good P6 though hence the eventual sale of the veev. GURL was rotten as a pear so I'm well aware of base unit woes.
There's a couple for sale on here but no idea how old the ads are.

Got £1600 for viva and waiting for bids on another so hoping to have about £2500 to spend although market is pants at the moment.

It was 1159cc SL when I bought it. Extensive rebuild 3 years ago - (GT bonnet and grille) and a 'stroked' 2.3
Still it's gone now - sob :eek:

I was never really a fanatic - i think that's why it went in the end.
I've been looking at the dark red 3500 on ebay - it just ended unsold. Apparently it needs a front bump stop doing - is this hard to do? - I vaguely remember something about spring compressors being needed. Also if anyones aware of its history feel free to divulge :wink:
If the sellers on here feel free to pm me - this is so much easier to use than ebay's crappy message thing.
There's alot of interest on my Hilux monster, and I'm hoping that it will sell on Tuesday to give me a bit more cash to play with.
 
Can be quite tricky to safely remove front springs, and due to the location it can be hard to get standard spring compressors in.
Depending on the problem with the bump stop, sometimes the rubber bit just drops off and ends up floating around in the spring, if you're carefull you can glue it back on without removing the spring.

The chap selling the maroon p6 on ebay sounds pretty genuine I spoke to him about the car and he would not tell me the reserve but when it failed to sell he did email me and said the reserve was £1600 and I am pretty sure he would take that for it,my maximum bid was £1200 which he declined, :( so if you want his phone number email me.

Thanks for the info on those. Yeah I wanted 2 grand for the viva but got £1600 which was a fair price in the current climate i spose :roll:

Is this the one in York?
 
The two grand VNK S reg is also a consideration despite not tax exempt and their recent heavy mark up!
The one in Leics for 3300 is my fave and closest but a bit too much of a stretch and will have domestic implications - ie I could end up living in it!

Yes that's the one, he was very confident that the car was okay and offered to deliver it to me in Wiltshire if I was the winning bidder,so well worth having a look if it is reasonably near to you.
