Hi everybody fount 2 engines one the internet for sale with number 17D12558B CarbpulsairMan wat doze this Mean . Is the engine good for a p6 . Can i have a litel bit information about this engine . Fount en other with number 34119916F dident fount enithing of this engine .
Can you put a crankshaft of a range rover classic in tho a p5 engine with rope seal tho replace it with a neopreen crank oil seal . Thinking of swapin engine or make my engine leak free egain

17D engines are I believe used on V8 Range Rovers, with Carburettors and pulse air ( Early exhaust port air injection to reduce emissions) Man presumably means Manual transmission. A 17D engine will have a different front cover/ water pump etc compared with P6

Here is a list of engine codes.
The 2nd eng number looks like a low compression Range Rover engine.
You cannot look behind those 2nd hand engines, but you know your own engine. I would work on my own engine. If you do all the effort with swapping an engine, then I would look for 3.9

Hi, The blocks and rear main caps of rope seal and lip seal engines are different.

Hello thanks for your feedback Wood you now What kind of engine this is compared with my engine wats the difference in Hp Ore acceleratieon is it possible tho put the front cover of the p6 one the engine . Mine is a auto box van you fit a auto tho the engine .
