Ebay item no 190202271081 from the US of A is for a type of ET Headrest that isn't common here in the UK. It has a shaped front to rest your head against, with seams and panels at the front of the headrest to achieve this. I have seen some before, but not many. Originally I understood that this type was a P5B fitment, but I've subsequently bought P5B ones that are identical to the standard P6 ones (ie without the panelling and shaping to the front face). Being from the States this one is almost certain to have come off a P6.
Does anyone know the history of the two types? Are the panelled and shaped ones the early version and if so anyone know when the more normal type took over? Anyone out there got an early car (say pre '72) with either type from new?
