Exhaust front pipe, MUST be for 2000 auto

As per the title, I desperately, desperately, desperately NEED a 2000 automatic exhaust front pipe. I really can't justify much more exhaust expense so if you have a spare one, please sell it to me, my car is off the road now until one is found. Despite me asking repeatedly, the front pipe that I bought from and ad in a classic paper, is definitely not for and auto, and as a result, I have no way of using it. Unfortunately, my other exhaust was removed this morning, on the assumption that the new one was right, and it isn't. So please, PLEASE, if you have, or know of someone who has an auto frontpipe (cheap), let me know, I really do need it, but at the same time, really can't justify spending much more at all on exhausts.
Please get in touch if you know of one! :D

Their is a front pipe for a 2000 TC on eBay. Does not say whether manual or auto though. Good luck with your search. Mick

IIRC??
TC's are all manuals!!
And that pipe is not for an auto,as I nearly bought it,but just noticed in time!!!

As Pilkie says, a TC one isn't any use to me, and neither is a 2000SC manual one. It must be for a 2000 auto, so it's rather specific unfortunately.
On that subject, if anyone wants a front pipe in usable condition, for a manual, they can have it for £25, and postage, but I'm open to offers! :D
So, anyone got an auto front pipe?

Emphasis on the fact, I can't use the car at the moment, at all, and I'd really very much like to be back to driving it as soon as possible!

The one on Ebay now looks a very strange shape :?

There are 2 auto front pipes, they are different lengths. I know cos I have a short one and nead a long one! The short one has a silencer straight after it where as mine doesn't.

Cheapest, in fact, the only one I can find, is a stainless one for £90. Does this sound reasonable?

If it's made to the same specification as the original, then you should be able to use it with the other boxes you already have, and it should be fit and forget, and I don't think that price is too bad for that. If it's a long pipe then just do away with the front silencer, but long pipes are far less common, most have the 3 box system. (Though TBH I'm so wary of saying anything now, in view of all the problems you've had so far...... :?)

Well, an update. The person I spoke to says that he read the wrong price when I called last time, and in fact it's going to be £144, which is something I really can't justify, so PLEASE, if anyone has a front pipe for an auto, let me know. :D

I seem to remember from a brochure that dropped out of a magazine that you can buy the separate sections to weld together to create a pipe. maybe not what you had in mind but you might be able to do something for less than a hundred pounds that way???
