Exhaust Manifolds

Hello Stan,

I have seen one of the POR paints in dark matt grey applied to a set of P6B cast iron manifolds, and the finish was very good. The manifolds must be sandblasted before the paint can be applied, so I am led to believe.

In my case I have been using normal silver frost for 20 years, and it lasts very well indeed. Does not blister or burn and keeps looking new for years. Every 12 months or so I just touch up any tiny areas that are flaking, no problem. This paint is not heat resistant paint, and yet it does do the job very well indeed.

I have used proper heat resistant paint capable of with standing 650 Degree C on the down pipes, but it sadly burned away in just a few outings.

Ron.
