Fitting aftermarket switches

Are they not usually fitted to the right of the driver's side glove box button? With left hand drive, to the left of the aforementioned button.

There's really no need to fit aftermarket switches! For the rear fog switch you can buy new an exact double of the pull switches fitted to the right of the steering column for the HRW. A choice of colour tops are available, so I bought one with a white top and swopped the tops so that the rear fog has the red top and the HRW a white top - but the choice of colours is up to you. There's plenty of space alongside the HRW switch so I put the rear fog one there. For the front fog lamps you have existing wiring in place to the existing headlamp/foglamp switch. It just needs connecting up behind the dash and plugging in to the lights at the front. The way the switch is wired currently gives either headlamps or fog lamps but not both. You should find it easy enough to take these outputs and rig up some relays to acheive what you want. So that's two switches down to one and the one as an OE (original equipment) switch rather than a nasty aftermarket rocker!

Thanks for prompt - after some searching i have found a pull swith for rear fogs - now on order and will fit at side of HRW switch

The dash front fog lights switch - Blue & yellow wire in drivers glovebox is for some reason permanent live no matter where i turn the switch & when i turn it to fog the headlights go out as should be ?

Agree with where possible keep it looking original

cheers

Keith

Pics of switch fitted - it is a better match than alternative after market switchs.

Played on Pc and even made some new id markings for both switches

Parrot hands free will accept mobile calls when set to auto answer without touching your mobile.

Natty toy & keeps me legal, rather than trying to drive & use a mobile as we all see other drivers doing.

I had an old 1 in shed, so may as well fit it to car only half a dozen wires to connect.

I'm not smart enough to make the period radio auto mute though, so i will just have to turn it off if the mobile rings to avoid feedback
