Fitting Tacho to 2000

Hi all,
Just upgraded my 2000, using an original Tcho from my old TC. Does anyone know how this should be wired up?

I've looked through the wiring diagram in my Manuals (I've got 3), but cannot see any reference to the Tacho. :?

Hi Andybob, Have you got the handbook? At the back,there is wiring diagramsif you look here, you will see where the wires go. I can,t remember off the top of my head but i think there is only 1 wire to the rev counter itself. The others are for the clock and lighting. I fitted one to mine years ago. hi Andybob, Have found my Handbook with diagram for tacho. Take your speedo out, at the back there hould be some spare wiring. You should see a wire coloured White and black,this comes from the distributer. The White and Yellow wire comes from the ignition coil.The Red and White wire is for the illumination of the tacho itself. Hopefully this should see your tacho working! Regards moon rover! :)

I'll take your advice & give it a try on the weekend. I've got 3 Tacho's so one of them must work!

Moon Rover, there is also a small spade between dizzy and coil wires. I think it should be connected to the ignition switch (12 V) and of course you will need a ground connection.
