Front Calliper Bolts

Bit of a problem. The bolts that hold the front calliper to the upright are both seized and I need to swap the discs so they have to come off. They need re-conditioned in any case.

The question is....how do I get them off? I've tried brute force and blood and I'm getting nowhere. 40 years of rust has taken a very tight grip.

I could try heat but I'm nervous of using it as I really don't want a fire. (I managed to break my brand new glass shower panel yesterday so I'm not feeling lucky right now. Much swearing and bleeding.)

I was also thinking about an impact wrench.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

A good quality Hex impact socket and the longest strongarm bar you can find.

Now the proud owner of a 36" bar. I'll give that a try tonight.

Thanks Harveyp6...Good advice. Bolts came off at first attempt.
