front disk shields

Gentlemen, while doing a thorough service on my front brakes I discovered that the shields for the front disks had almost rusted away. Is there anyone who knows where I can obtain new shields?? Regards, Chris varming+++

That's not a common occurance so you should be able to get good used ones, as I doubt you'll find new anywhere.

I got a pair from ebay when I discovered that my car didn't have any!

There are two types for the P6B btw. On the forward fixing, one has the thread (UNF) on the disc plate in the form of a captive nut, and the other has the thread (UNC) in the front leg.

I got the wrong type and had to hack the nuts off :shock:

I have had to replace them on my 2000 and 2200 and the estate that I had, managed to get new ones for the estate but that was15 years ago, got good second hand ones for the 2000 and repaired the 2200 ones. Perhaps I have just been unlucky.
