Front Headlights - Only one working

Before I laid my car up to restore the passenger headlight stopped working. Initially it had been a bit lazy to start but came on, it then eventually just wouldn't come on. I wired a live supply from the other lamp as a temporary measure which worked. I know this sounds like an earthing problem but my initial test seemed ok. Is there something obvious I'm missing?

Don't know what year/model you've got but could it be something to do with the fuse box as both sides are fused separately
