fuel gauge tank sender

Not sure if this belongs here or in body work ?

I have swapped the tank sender unit today and really just a quick question to others that have done this - is there a need to use any sealant, if so what type ?

I haven't as the seal seemed to be OK, not hard

Before I fill it up again !

if the seal is in good condition I wouldn't use any sealant on it.
