Further Laminated/Toughened query . .Monte Carlo Wedgie

When I was peripherially involved in off-road Motorsports in the 80/90s, laminated windscreens were mandatory (ignoring polycarbonate).
However the photo of Ranald White's ever-improving Monte Carlo Rallye P6 on page 13 of the Spring issue of Driving Force clearly shows the stress patterning characteristic of a zone-toughened item.
Wedgie would have been carefully Scrutineered in Glasgow prior to the start so that screen must be OK. Looking at the RACMSA website sems to confirm that Laminated in compulsory.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

You are indeed correct the windscreen is toughened not laminated however the car runs on a MSA Historic Car Pass and under the ACM Rallye Monte Carlo Historique Regulations. The car is indeed scrutineered at Glasgow by MSA Scrutineers. However I must remind you that this is not an off road rally but for the most part on open public roads where our Regulated speed is less than 30mph. In fact this years rally had for the first time 2 closed stages that said it didn't stop locals using the roads hey ho thats France for you. I don't at the moment do any other Rallys
hope this helps

Thank you for the clarification, Ranald. I did try to track the correct regs but found the MSA website a bit less than clear.
Belated congratulations on this year's result - onward and upward . . .
Thanks, chrisw

Many thanks John for your kind wishes
This years regs will be out on the ACM.MC web site shortly.
The MSA Historic Car Pass is no more than a photograhic self declaration of the car and modifications. Some non period parts are allowed if no OEM ones are available
Ie i have an electic fan and modern rally brake pads
Regards Ranald
