My understanding is that there were a number of P5 Rovers used in the series. Sadly they proved to be very unreliable.

On a side-note, I have been watching a series called Endeavour that has a P6 in it.

That, I think, is the prequel to the Inspector Morse series. Endeavour was Morse's first name.

I thought that was set in the 30's/40's, though.... (pre-P6)

It is the prequel, and the white 2000, DNY, is Nick Dunning's car..

I could have made this up and convinced myself its right but, didn, t insp gently have a grey series 1 2000 possibly in the very 1st episode?
it could have been the 1st episode I saw mind!
If I am imagining things then why can, t I imagine something more exciting than that?

The second episode 'The Burning Man' he has a City Grey TC, with Toledo red leather, on wires, which looks glorious! Wonder where it is now?

Ask, and ye shall received.. It was on a fake plate. The car was 928NHO and has been unlicensed since 2008. No idea where it is now though, as I always thought it was a beautiful car!

That's too nice a car to have been off the road for 6 years surely?

Do the TV company still have it?

The Rover he drives now is my old one ( previously wedgewood blue ) I sold it to the TV guys last year but they repainted it mid blue.

Real shame

Seeing things on TV is not like real life colours generally need more 'pop' to them ro look as they would to your own eyes, no one wants insipid looking tv shows, so yes a shame to repaint from that fabulous wedgewood blue but I can appreciate why they would choose to do so.

Sold it to them? That's unusual - normally they just hire them. How did that come about?
