German P6 3500 S / 13.000 GBP

Yep, the overmats will make you feel at home.
The black Vitesse wheels look well suited to the red body. :D
I can also see an LT77 5 speed conversion.
But i am not so sure about the tailpipe and the collection of badges next to the dash.
and the price of course... :?

Those overmats made me smile.... it would surely make you want to drive whilst wearing slippers and smoking a pipe :?

The car is individual but not exactly to my taste.... as for the price.... wow  Maybe I should try to sell mine in Germany

The glove compartment on the drivers side looks all broken.

They are German spec gloveboxes. They had extra bolstering on the inner edge to provide knee protection against the centre console. Very rare and I'm pretty sure they were unique to the german market.

That´s correct.

Yuk. I think I would change them for a normal one how ever rare they are. :) Maybe the pitcure is not a good shot but looks 'wrong' to the eye.

They're alright to drive with - extra knee protection apparently.

15.500 €!! That's crazy!

Not tried to sell my 2200 SC here in Spain yet, but I guess that I won't be able to ask more than 6.000 or 7.000 €. And with tons of luck!

Indeed

Selling a P6 4 or 8 cylinder in Germany isn´t an easy job - but searching for someone who is willing to pay approx. 15.000 EUR, that´s nearly impossible. By the way: too many "modifications" ->> no chance to get so much money for a P6 overhere.

Yep, it's the same over here. If the seller tries to charge a little overcost for the "extras", the normal answer would be: "OK, take your extras off, clean the car and sell it for a fair price".

In this case it wouldn't be a "fair" price, but a "normal" price.

learn something every day, the gloveboxes look ok , someone please explain why the leather seats go all wrinkly along the front it looks awful, rover p6s seem to be undervalued , i cant get over the hike in price of some fords lately , eg 3 litre mark 1 ford crappi, mark 1 lotus cortinas the price i paid for my house ,there are too many p6s out there i think!rich ,gnight

The crinkly edge to the seats on P6's is due to shrinkage of the leather and the vinyl over the years. The seat faces are leather and the vertical perimeters are vinyl and they shrink at different rates. Thus the stitching that once gave straight piping is now all wrong and results in everything crinkling up. If your seat faces are good, then the solution is to renew the vinyl. Of course early 3500S can be all vinyl box pleat and therefore don't suffer this fate. Later ones revert to the leather / vinyl mix.

I can see your point when that's competing with other P6's under €2,000... ( tidy too! )

as for kneepad protection, legs + knees are HIGHLY overrated....

This German SD-1 is €24,000, + looks like a cheap brothel on wheels; the interior is breathtakingly ghastly  ( ! ) Wunderbar! In this city I could make a decent living from people paying me not to park it on their street  , I guess that could be why this has such low mileage....someone paid the owner 50 euro a day to park this out of sight..... ( reckon I'd get at least a 100 8) )
