Goodwood Revival traffic

Living in Petworth, driving around the last three days was a slightly surreal experience - so many classics on the road there were odd occassions, when going against the flow to Goodwood, you thought you had been transported back to driving sometime in the late sixties/early seventies - streams of older cars and not a "modern" in sight. Only saw two P6s though - one white S2 - didn't see what - going north between Petworth and Northchaple, towing an empty trailer, on Friday evening and a Corsica blue driving through Petworth on Saturday morning

I was there again in my Dads wedgewood blue 65 car again, uneventful 500 miles apart from the low tension wire in the dizzy breaking going over the hogs back on the thursday night which was popular, fixed it with my leatherman in about 30 seconds so not too long a queue!!

I saw a mustard v8 on the Saturday and a white s2 on the Thursday but no others, lots of 'my dad had one of those' comments in the car park though!

Excellent, if this is the same Wedgie that was there a couple of years ago it's nice to hear from the owner. Lovely car.

Cheers

Been there the last three years at least in it so very possibly the one you saw Nick, Thanks for the nice comments, we think she's great as all so original and ever so slightly different being an early S1

Next year, if I go in my 1964 2000, we'll have to meet up for a look at the cars. I'll make a mental note of it - does yours have the 120mph speedo, or is it earlier???

Cheers
Nick

Nick,

It has the 120mph speedo as far as I recall, the interior light is in the base of the rearview mirrow and the funny little maplights under the dash....shes a real nice old girl and I am very lucky to be able to borrow her, fill her with chums and do 500 mostly motorway miles before giving her back!!
