Hi - has anybody got an old back exhaust box for a late P6BS (believe auto is the same) ? it does not matter what sort of condition the box is in providing the link pipe and flange are in reasonable condition for welding. Happy to pay postage. will consider a box in better condition if the price is right. I plan to graft on a slight;y louder can to liberate that famous V8 rumble - it would be good to hear from you if you can help.

On an SD1 just straight pipe and no box is acceptable and only loud under heavy throttle :wink:

If I remember correctly walfordr, depending on the year there are no noise regs on exhausts. It has to be secure, free of leaks and not bellowing clouds of smoke. Make sure you correct your carburation to match the exhaust as open pipes can occasionally make the car run lean.

Great thanks - I think I'll visit my local powerflow dealer and see what they recommend. I'll keep an eye on the mixture but I will most likely pop in to my local garage who can test the exhaust gases using their box of tricks.
