Very nice.

That's a super snug fit.

Do you get any overheating problems with that?

Welcome to the forum 8)

Welcome Jukka, and echoing the comments about your P6..looks great. Love the wheels!

Lots of great information on the forum..which I'm sure you'll be able to add to looking at what you've done with your car!

Cheers,

Stan

Like the twin exhausts and steering wheel
Have the inner wings been modified from the 2000/2200 type to fit the new engine?

Looks like the standard 2000/2200 inner wings as they don't have the cutouts at the front, hence the servo mounted up by the bulkhead on the passenger side.

Looks a nice installation and a nice car.

Hello Jukka

You can relax smug in the knowledge that not only does your P6 look the business from the outside, it will also have superior handling to any genuine V8 thanks to having the longer bottom wishbones from the 4 cylinder base unit. There isn't as much camber change in bump as a result so roll understeer is less!

Hello Jukka,

You have a very interesting Rover there!!

Certainly from where I am sitting, yours is the first P6 that I have seen fitted with a fuel injected engine.

Can I ask,...is the suspension and differential assembly original 2000 or has it all been replaced with series 2 3500 components?

Those wheels do look nice...What brand and sizing are they?

Ron.

Thanks all.The engine is efi Rangie engine with hot wire injection system(3.9) and radiator is re-cored.It do not suffer overheating at all. There is electric cooling fan with override switch in the dashboard in emergency situation 8) This Rover is built my trusted garages owners son.It also have a central locking with alarm, power steering.I do not remember manufacturer of the wheels but they are 14in diameter.Rover is now in winter storage and waiting next summer. It is bought for hard driving and i have driven it from early june to end of last friday approx 8000km  It is so great to drive and other peoples are always asking of Rover.

Hmmm interesting, it doesn't look That snug in the engine bay, you'd easily get a modern LS chevy smallblock in there....
I always thought it was more dificult to get the v8 in the 4 cylinder shell, obviously not !

Hello Jukko, and a warm welcome to this little club. I've actually already seen your very pretty car elsewhere on the web, I forget where right now, probably Rudiger's website, but I've posted a pic of it on this forum before. I think we've corresponded a while back, I was interested in those wheels. They're Compomotives, right? Not a style that they still manufacture, alas, but I doubt that they'd fit straight on a P6 without shortening the half shafts or something. My hearty congratulations on a tidy engine swap and for choosing Admiralty blue, my favourite P5 colour, and one that for the life of me I cannot fathom why it wasn't offered as standard on the P6. Your ride is a big inspiration for me and my ever-so-slow rebuild project. I'd like to be able to discuss a few of the finer points of your car with the chap who built it, is his English as good as yours? I've a few questions for him... Yours more than a little bit enviously! Al aka Mr Task!

Yes,those wheels are compomotives i think. The dual exhaust are very cool looking 8) Also side windows are manufacured to max.dark which is allowed by law and they are thicker than original to get better seal.
I can try to call to garage in next week and ask more details of chassis etc..

That's a very good looking P6
Seems to be plenty of space for the v8 in a 2000. Happy to see that :)
