I did the stupidest thing tonight.
I was trying to get an old jubilee clip off of the heater matrix of the old v8. I cut the hose, got a pair of mole grips on the clip and gave it a twist.
It twisted clean off with the outlet pipe, not as bad as it first sounds as it can be soldiered back on.
I took a heater box out of my 2200 which was easy with the enginer out and when I fitted it (engine in) it was a bit harder. I took the panel off that covers the matrix to clear the rocker cover.
I think but am not sure that the matrix would come out this cover when the heater box is fitted but have never done this myself.
has anyone done this successfully or not?
