Help engine will not turn

Your engine bay looks very nice and presentable. Love the torque wrench - Britool is quality stuff.

I have had the Britool for 30 years and the chrome is still as good as new, I find I use it more since I got my p6

That's really good news!

You can see your Grandson without scouling at him now! (but people, especially small people, are always far more important that mere cars!)

Chris
I agree Chris little people are more important than motors.
I think he just wanted the car back on the road because he loves riding in it, and getting all the attention from people 8)

Might be worth dropping the sump to double check that it was the offending item and not something else that was causing the problem!
Hi Brian,I did not have the bottle to get the sump off
The new engine sounds very nice 8)

While tightening up the timing chain guides and withdrawing my extension bar, the socket came off and fell into the sump. Not wanting to take a chance on a brand new engine, I did remove the sump and retrieve the socket. One less worry in the future

The sump is coming off to see what has dropped in, as you say its not worth taking the risk of damaging the engine.
