Hi everyone, my name is Jim and I am new
I will be the proud owner of a Rover P6 3500S in the next couple of weeks & can't wait. I have been moving in Classic Ford circles for a few years now, but have always loved ALL classic cars... especially the british ones. There is a small story to tell, which will explain why I have decided to buy a P6.
Back in 1972, my grandad bought a brand new P6 3500S in White. I always hoped I would have this passed down to me, but around 8 years ago, my nan & aunt decided to sell it. While I am writing this, I am thinking that perhaps it may well belong to a member on here, so I would love to hear from you. The car in question is a P6 3500S with a dark brown vinyl roof and was picked up from SE London. Reg Number was MUD 16.
Anyway, back to my one. I went to look at it on Monday and fell in love. We have arranged a price and I am currently waiting for it to be MoT'd before I pick it up. It's a K reg 1972 car with about 80.000 miles on the clock, white with black roof, and a lovely engine. The gearbox has a small issue with not changing down to second until you have pretty much stopped, but I am getting a reconditioned box thrown in with the sale.
I also own a 1960 Ford Anglia 105e & a 1983 Ford Capri 2.8 Injection
Thanks for reading, and if you know of the whereabouts of my grandads old car, I would love to hear from you
Heres a pic of my new ride:
